We look beyond the category at the engineering, product economics and team to understand what gives a company an advantage. We concentrate our capital in a few businesses we can know deeply and back substantially.
Attention is part of our investment.
Understanding a company takes time with the people building it. Each partner sits on three boards max, so we have ample time to recruit talent, introduce customers and roll up our sleeves where we’re needed.
Commitment that grows.
Although originally a growth-stage firm, we can now invest across any stage, providing extreme flexibility to our founders. Our largest investment began with $4 million and grew to $330 million invested over five years.
